CHILLI Douglah Cappy's Strain chocolate - 7 Seeds
Capsicum chinense
Heat Level: 14 out of 15
Chilli Douglah Cappy's Strain chocolate Scoville heat units (SHU): 850,000 - 1,100,00
Jalapeno reference point (SHU): 5,000
It is also known as Brown 7 pod, or the 7 pot sauce because the one Chilli will spice up to 7 pots of stew!
This strain originates from Cappy at Pepperidge Farms in South Carolina USA. But originally from Trinidad.
When fully grown, the plant can grow up to 1.2m high. They get bushy and the pods are very heavy and weigh in at around 20-25g/ea. You should be able to harvest between 3-5kg chilli fruits per plant during the chilli season, which lasts approximate 4-6 months.
How to Germinate Chilli Seeds
First, do not forget that chillies are subtropical to tropical vegetable plant and love the heat. You MUST ensure that the chilli seeds' soil temperature MUST remain between 28 - 30 °C, 24x7 – Day & Night. So if you live in Australia's cool & temperate climate zone, you need to invest in seedling heat with a thermostat without any doubt. If you don't want to invest in seedling heat mat & thermostat, then you need to wait until summer to start the Chilli. Simply keeping seeds in the greenhouse (which may have a temperature drop below 10 °C on many nights even in late Oct to late November to the many parts of Australia), may yield poor germination result.
Patience is a virtue! It can take up-to minimum 2 weeks to 4 weeks maximum before first seedlings will sprout.
It would be best if you made sure to measure the heat of the soil by putting the thermometer inside the soil of the seedlings. Make sure that soil does not dry out, but make sure they are not too wet either because this will make the seeds susceptible to fungal pathogens
We suggest storing our seeds in the refrigerator in the given plastic clip lock until seeding them up. Please make sure that you do not get any moisture in the bags
And last but not least, the ultra hots chillies are very temperamental and take a great amount of love and care + CONSTANT and EXACT warm soil (28 - 30 °C), 24x7 – Day & Night!

WA orders go to the Quarantine WA office at Perth Airport for inspection before being sent to your shipping address by the Quarantine Officers. Your tracking number will be activated once the inspection is complete, which may take up to 10 business days after we have packed and dispatched your order.
The tracking number will stay in a 'Pending' status until Quarantine Officers have inspected your shipment at Perth Airport.
Depending on the postal service you pay for the order, it will generally take an additional 1 to 5 business days for your shipment to arrive from Perth Airport to your address within WA. However, please note that delays beyond our control may occasionally occur.

Shipping Restrictions
Western Australia Customers: We can ship most seed line items, except Quarantine WA restricted seed lines to WA. To help us ship your order as quickly and efficiently as possible, please do not include any seed items prohibited in WA; they are listed with the label 'NOT to WA'. Due to quarantine restrictions in WA, there is a 10kg seeds limit per variety. WA orders require additional handling time. Please remain within an approved limit when ordering seeds. We review every WA order before dispatch and remove (or reduce) excess seed quantity from your order to comply with WA biosecurity regulations. Please check further information here
Tasmania Customers: We can ship seeds to Tasmania. Please do not include seed line items labeled 'NOT to TAS'. Please note that the maximum allowable limit per permitted seed line item is 1kg per order.
